Emerald Design Trends

The secret to acing this style is to use one main furniture piece in the rich emerald green hue, then pair it with layers lighter of pillows as shown in the inspiration photo above. White, gold, and brown are great colors to pair with this color scheme. As in the picture shown above one of the accent colors is white, one expert design tip is to add your accent color in 4 places in your room. For example there are white lamps(1), coffee table (2), pillows (3), and white in the majority of the art shown(4).

Another great design tip is if you desire to have your cushion pillows look full, finished and professional be sure to purchase a pillow cover that is at least two inches smaller than your pillow insert. For example if you buy a pillow cover that is 18" by 18", then use a down insert that measures 20" by 20".
